When did you join the company?
26th May 2020
What prompted you to move to this new role?
My freelance projects were put on hold and I was looking for new opportunities to collaborate.
How did you find this role?
Never underestimate the power of your network. I kept my contacts aware of my current situation and a previous colleague of mine reached out to get extra design support for his team.
Overall what is the best advice you can give other job seekers?
Try to keep as active as you can. Get involved with your professional community and let your network know that you're looking for new opportunities. Your word might get across the right person :)
What was your biggest challenge?
Keeping positive and believing that new opportunities could arise even in the midst of a crisis that no one really knows how long will last.
Has starting your new job been easier or harder than expected? And why?
I reckon I'm used to this process working as a freelancer. But the fact that I kept a busy daily routine with studies and voluntary work really helped me ease into it.
What was your biggest positive surprise?
Meeting my previous team again and having the opportunity to share a project together after 6 years or so.
